Mielcarek Eye Associates, located at the end of the trolley tracks in Media, Pennsylvania,
was founded in 1978 by Lee Mielcarek Jr. MD, a medical and surgical ophthalmologist,
and his wife Eileen Dickson RN, a surgical nurse. Lee and Eileen met at the

served as Dr. Scheie's chief resident. Their professional practice and its staff of 17

With the addition of Melvin Roat, MD, an author of the Merck Manual Home Edition,
corneal transplants and comprehensive dry eye treatments are also offered.
Optometrist Dr. Ines Casado-Strine provides eye examinations and customized contact lens fittings.
With the closing of his previous office in Springfield, Charles Alexander, MD
also joins our practice and brings with him his expertise in cataract and
glaucoma detection.
Media Eye Works, a division of Mielcarek Eye Associates, is staffed by
certified opticians Christina Papa, Jeannine Stelzer, and Eileen Dickson. It carries a wide variety of eyeglasses from practical to stylish,
featuring brands such as Flexon, Polo, Timberland, and Nike.
